I’m Anne Pridgeon Bortz, and I was born in Dallas, Texas where I grew up with my parents and 2 brothers.  At the age of eleven, my family moved to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.  My father was an advertising executive with Ford and mother, an Interior Designer.

My childhood was filled with raising and showing horses, and traveling internationally with the family.

I attended Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia where I received my Bachelors Degree in International Relations.  I’ve held positions in the financial, computer training, technology, and management sectors.

In 1994, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and endured five surgeries.  During this time, I was inspired to write a children’s book and developed an international brand with my teddy bear, Mr. Biddle.

Surrounded by Angels, I’ve experienced life-saving miracles.  I’ve been saved from death seven times.

While in Nepal in 2008, a filmmaker documented my trek on Mt. Everest.
